Janet Sorensen is a painter and a printmaker interested in the repeating rhythms of rest, renewal, growth and decline embodied in nature. She taught studio art courses in the Department of Art at Skidmore College for over 30 years. She has been a visiting artist and guest lecturer at regional, national and international venues, including the University of Wales Institute, Cardiff, and Studio Art Centers International, Florence, Italy.
